little girls in cowboy boots, part 2
Click here to check out part one of this four-part series. :)
This is outfit # two from the photo shoot with lil-sis. :) I love how elegant and grown-up she looks in these.
She'll always be the 3-yr.-old who decided to wear Mom's mascara {which she decided would also look good as blush, lipstick, etc.} and yet she's definitely turning rapidly into a little lady. It's scary, sometimes... when I get mad at her for something that seems really major and out of character for her. Come to find out, it is. It's like when I get annoyed with her, I'm really getting annoyed with me - the one who unknowingly taught her how to argue so well. So as she gets older, I realize more and more I have to let her be herself - not push her into being me, since she seems to imitate me on her own. Instead I should be the person God wants me to be, and let her be the person God wants Shelby to be.
Enjoy these pics of little miss independent!

little girls in cowboy boots
Shelby Dawn. My favorite sister! {a.k.a. my only sister} Part of my photography project was to do a photo shoot. Shelby is such a natural at things like this, and she lives with me, so she was my first choice. This shoot doubled as an eye-opener for me. As the four-hour session came to a close, I realized how much closer her and I had become. It wasn't just the pictures.
It was pinning up the too-big-skirt of mine, washing up the worn-down boots that used to be mine, and experimenting with hair-do's. I got to work on perspective both in my only big sis-little sis relationship and in my photography skills, both of which are forever-changing.
These are the select few from outfit #1. Enjoy!
Sorry the last one's a little blurry, that's just the way it loaded. :)

The dewdrops...
First off, sorry it's been so long y'all! We are in the process of moving into the house dad has been building for us, and life is rather hectic! But, without further ado, here are my spider-web pics from the other day! I had to get on a chair to reach it, but it was definitely worth it!

Spring in Camas!
Hey all! Sorry it's been so long since I posted... technical difficulties...
Here are a few of my 'unedited' photos from after it started snowing a few days ago. (Oh, and I took these before my brother and I had to push his 1000 lb. four-wheeler home through up to 6 inches of snow...ya, fun!!) I can't wait for these little crocuses to bloom! Friday, February 24, 2012
In the light...
Last Thursday (my b-day!) Mom took us and 2 friends to Omsi to see the Body Worlds display. They wouldn't let us take pics, but I can tell you it was sugusting! (that's Bailey language for 'disgusting':]) We could take pictures in the inventors room - but I couldn't keep my lens away from the lights! I had fun with them. :)
Aren't they absolutely awesomeness!? They remind me of something from a dream...

The Alphabet
I'm starting an alphabet series! I got the idea from a photo I saw at a store:
Cool, huh? So far I only have 2 letters - and they do NOT look like this! But I'll work on it...
Here's the A!
And the O...
More to come! Also, keep your eye out for my coming-soon spring pictures!

Yellowstone
Earlier this year, my mom took us kids to Montana to see her family. We took a surprise trip to Yellowstone with them, and thank goodness I brought my camera! The hot springs, lakes, wild flowers and animals were spectacular - and I was so enthused to be behind the lens of my camera that day. I was eager to work on different perspectives. I especially couldn't wait to get home and edit my 500 or more pictures!
