A Year in Pics // wk. 3

I'd like you guys to meet my little bro! Well, technically, he's bigger than me...but still!
Monday I spent the day hanging out with him and other little brother, Ethan. Jacob is 13. He has the humor of a ten year old,  the body of a fifteen year old, and the mind of a... little brother. He can be the sweetest, most sensitive, quiet guy on the planet! But when he's with his family, we just can't get him to keep quiet! Fortunately for him he's cute and of course gets away with everything :)

Have a great rest of the week y'all! What do you think of my photography? Any suggestions? Feel free to leave a comment!

Blessings, <3 Bailey

little girls in cowboy boots, part 2

Click here to check out part one of this four-part series. :)
This is outfit # two from the photo shoot with lil-sis. :) I love how elegant and grown-up she looks in these.
She'll always be the 3-yr.-old who decided to wear Mom's mascara {which she decided would also look good as blush, lipstick, etc.} and yet she's definitely turning rapidly into a little lady. It's scary, sometimes... when I get mad at her for something that seems really major and out of character for her. Come to find out, it is. It's like when I get annoyed with her, I'm really getting annoyed with me - the one who unknowingly taught her how to argue so well. So as she gets older, I realize more and more I have to let her be herself - not push her into being me, since she seems to imitate me on her own. Instead I should be the person God wants me to be, and let her be the person God wants Shelby to be.
Enjoy these pics of little miss independent!

Over the years....

Guess what, people! The flowers are here!!! {insert applause} The first three pictures are a few of my favs from last spring...

And these three are from Sunday! It's interesing how different the lighting was in this set. The ones from last year were taken after it rained, so that could be part of it. I can't wait to experiment more with different settings using these flowers!

Happy *almost* spring y'all!
